Charge 5 keeps restarting itself

Why does my Charge 5 keep going into restart mode?  I lose my steps every time since my last sync when this happens.

Hi there, @Eskyhigh. Welcome to the Fitbit Community Forums. Thanks for bringing this to my attention. I'm sorry to hear that your Charge 5 keeps restarting itself. I understand your concern, I will do my best to help you with this!

There are some general recommendations that are usually helpful with any type of display issues. If you haven't done so yet, please try the steps below:

  1. From the Today tab in the Fitbit app, tap the devices icon at the top-left corner.
  2. Tap your Fitbit device image. 
  3. Near the bottom of the page, tap Sync Now.

If the above doesn't work, please restart your Fitbit device as suggested here How do I restart my Fitbit device? Note: Restarting the device doesn’t delete any data. If the restart doesn't work try to change your clock face. If this fixes the issue, you can change your clock face back to the original clock face. 

Regarding the steps you're losing every time this happens, oif you remember the exact amount of steps or the name of the activity you performed, you can try manually logging the activity. For more information, see How do I manually log exercises in the Fitbit app?

Thank you for responding to my concern.
My Charge 5 has been working fine now since the other day.  I have had no problems with it stopping anymore.
Maybe it was just one of those days....LOL
