Any help the latch that holds the band on my charge 5 is broken. So will not hold the band

My experience is that you will get a replacement if you contact them via e-mail fairly easy (needs to give proof)

Aria, Charge 5, and Xiaomi Mi A2 Lite (Android One) user.

Does this mean the Charge 5 has a plastic connector for the wristband like the Charge 4 does?  If so, sounds like it will have the same problem with the connector being plastic and breaking.  Bummer.  In the 2 times it has broken on my Charge 4, they have replaced it, but it is a poor design.
