Charge 5 mileage issues

My Charge 5 is not recording my mileage correctly. I have 4 miles as my target my phone says I have achieved it but my watch says I haven’t. Why is this??

I've been informed that you already contacted the Customer Support team for further assistance with this and it seems your case is still being reviewed. In this case, they will let you know how to proceed.

They seem have not been able to help. I have tried everything they have suggested, but still have no resolution. I have to nearly double my target before it says I have completed my target.....
