Hi All,
Had my charge 5 since March 26th, 2023 and has worked great till the last 45 days?
And I did go through ALL the forums and suggestions....to no avail.
-1st time issue, charge 5 just turned off for no reason at 54%? Attaching to charger turned it on and charged properly.
-2nd time, after battery drained to 0, I had to play around for almost 2 hrs resetting/restarting before it finally would start charging? Always showed 100% charge, even though battery was dead?
- 3rd time June 22nd battery drained to 0% and NO amount of resets or restarts would start charging my charge 5? After one attempt, it showed 0% and appeared to start charging...but to no avail, after tapping the screen to turn on showed 100%, but would not start when disconnected from cable.
(P.S. both chargers tested at 5.06 & 5.25 VDC at Fitbit connector pins).
Tried leaving on charger overnight, nothing. Reset and restarted several times and finally got a 0% flashing so assumed it finally started to charge!
Sadly NO, after 2hrs ....nothing ...still dead?
I know the unit is still working, as when plugged into the charger, I am able to Sync and communicate with blue tooth just fine.
Definitely something wrong with the battery/hardware, as my unit came with the latest BIOS version ?
Please advise, as a $200 paperweight is rather annoying, and my 30 day return window from Amazon is gone.
Truly disappointing as I purchased this Fitbit Charge 5 based on several personal recommendations.

I have had 2 charge 5 in the last 2 years and they stop working!!!!! Send me a new one or refund my money. This is ridiculous!
