Just bought the Fitbit Charge 5.
My phone is a Google Pixel 3XL, fully updated.
The app is fresh download, fully updated.
I have reset my phone, reset the charge, toggled the bluetooth. No matter what I do, it will not pair.
For troubleshooting purposes, I opened my phones Bluetooth setting to see if the device even populates in there. It doesn't. It will briefly appear upon reset of the charge, for my 30-45 seconds. Then it will disappear. During that time it will pop up on my phone with the request to set up. Once the phone starts the setup process, the device just will not connect.
Anyone have any ideas? I tried connecting to my Google Pixel 5 as well, same results.

For the sake of troubleshooting, I watched the bluetooth setting on my phone. Upon restarting the device, it would pick it up as an object to pair with. It would last maybe 30-45 seconds before disappearing from the list. When I go into the App and start setup of the device, it cannot locate the Charge 5 unless i do a fresh restart of the device. Then it will go to "Found!" and remain in a "connecting" status until it errors out. There is no pairing number/code that ever populates.
It appears that the fitbit bluetooth is only active for a few moments immediately after restarting, then for some reason it disables it. Any other ideas, or should I chalk this up to a lemon and try another?

Hello @Gnome23
I don’t use Android myself but have found some links about trouble shooting during set up.
This section looks useful.
One other thing to check is whether you have an ad blocker on or not. If you do, temporarily disabling it during set up could help.
I hope some of that helps you!
Good luck!

Appreciate your reply. It turns out I had a lemon, the bluetooth was just bugged in general... I had to return that one and purchase a new one.
