Charge 5 not recording my oxygen?

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

My Charge 5 has stopped recording my oxygen at night. It tracks the other metric but not oxygen for about a week. I have restarted, reinstalled the app and everything is up to date. Any suggestions?

Hi, welcome back to the Fitbit Community forums, @DeeLitful.

Thank you for sharing this information about the inconvenience you're experiencing with your Charge 5.

Could you please provide a few mode details? Let me know if you're referring to the SpO2 metric or to the oxygen variation in the Fitbit app.

In the meantime, please make sure that you've tried the three pulse restart method using the charging cable following these steps. In case the problem is related to the app not showing you the correct information, please try the following steps as well:

  • Log out from the app.
  • Restart your phone.
  • Log back in to check if you're able to see your information.
  • Make sure the app is updated to the latest version available.
  • Try to set up your Charge 5 as a new device in your account if you're still having the same problem.

@Carelis Thank you for sharing that you've been experiencing the same problem.

Before considering other options, could you please confirm if you already tried all the troubleshooting steps mentioned here earlier? In addition, if you removed the SpO2 app from your device, reinstall it in the Fitbit app on your phone:

  1. With your Fitbit device nearby, in the Fitbit app, tap the Today tab > your profile picture > your device image.
  2. Tap Gallery

      Apps tab.
  3. In the list of apps, tap SpO2 > Install > Install.

You should be able to see your SpO2 trends in the Health Metrics tile in the Fitbit app on your phone. To get SpO2 information, you need to:

  1. Wear your device for at least a full day, including to sleep at night.
  2. In the morning, open the Fitbit app and tap the Health Metrics tile.
  3. Swipe up to find the Oxygen Saturation (SpO2) tile.

If you still don't receive your SpO2 information, please follow the steps listed here below:

  1. Verify if your Fitbit profile has the correct location and time zone.
  2. Open the Fitbit app, tap your profile icon > Charge 5 > Apps > SpO2.
  3. Make sure all the permissions are enabled.
  4. Restart your tracker again to refresh its performance.
  5. Tap Today at the bottom of the Fitbit app and pull down on the screen to force a manual sync.
  6. Wear your tracker slightly higher on your wrist to sleep and sync it with the Fitbit app once you're awake to check your details.

I'll be around.
