Same issue, not syncing my Charge 5. Restart device didn’t work, charging it didn’t change anything, no updates available. Need assistance.

I’ve been having the same issue with my charge 5 for about 3 days. Can’t get it to sync. Tried all the things and nothing is working.

Welcome to the community forums @Kcarlat @LilCampet @Yowsers

Thank you for taking the time to share the inquiry regarding Charge 5.

Please, follow these steps:

  • Remove the Charge 5 connection from your app.
  • Force quit the app and clear the Fitbit app cache (phone settings).
  • Forget the Charge 5 in the phone's bluetooth settings.
  • Turn off the phone's Bluetooth.
  • Restart the tracker.
  • Turn the phone's Bluetooth on (do not attempt to connect to the tracker here).
  • Launch the latest Fitbitt app and follow the prompts to connect to your Charge 5 tracker.

In addition, I recommend that you try restarting the device using the three pulse restart method:

  1. Connect your device to the charging cable. For instructions, see How do I charge my Fitbit device?
  2. Press the button located on the flat end of the charger 3 times (end of the USB cable), pausing for 1 second between presses. Then wait 10 seconds or until the Fitbit logo appears.

If you're still having any issues, let me know if you already tried all the steps listed here to resolve syncing problems, and make sure to check the compatibility requirements listed here and to keep the Fitbit app updated to the latest version available.

I’ve done all of that. I never had this issue with previous versions. Pretty disconcerting.

Very strange! Suddenly this morning the watch and app synced! My bet is that an update took place to fix this issue since several of us reported the issue but I don’t know for sure.

I’ve tried all these steps, except on the tracker restart option my charger doesn’t have the button so I restarted through the tracker itself. And now when trying to connect the device through the app, it won’t connect.

also now when I plug my device to charge, it won’t charge. Which is weird since I charged it yesterday with no problems

Disregard, found button on FLAT part of charger (part that plugs in near the wall, not the end that connects to Fitbit device)and resetting that way worked and then I was able to connect device. Doesn’t seem to have collected any data from 11pm last night though
