Having same issue.  Just cancelled my premium membership because I only received detailed info for one out of the last four nights.  The only info synced consistently is the heart rate.  All others are missing data.

If you are receiving simple sleep

  • Open the fitbit app
  • Tap the sleep tile
  • Tap a night in question
  • Look under the chart for what fitbit says.
  • Fitbit needs 3 hours and detect a consistant heart rate

Note: I find if the heart rate is turned off, fitbit says that they do not know why.

@Smplay in what way do you feel sleep is under reported?

The Red Arrows point to simple sleep

The Green Stars say that I made my sleep goal for the night.

Note about March 21. I have 2 more sleep periods not in the screen shot.

It's the same with me, I have tried everything they mentioned on their website on how to ensure a good fit (it doesn't slip at all) and yet it's unable to measure data 😕

Same here. Last night it recorded only 2 hours of sleep….I definitely slept more than that. Fit bit is on and charged. I’m wondering if certain sleeping positions affect the recording. Haven’t been able to find answers on that.

I'm having a similar problem with my charge 5. Every 4 or 5 days I get a simple sleep notification even though the device was not moved from my wrist. I reset and it's good until the next time.  Never had this problem with my charge 3.  I doubt I'll renew my premium subscriptions should this problem persist
