Hello, my charge 5 stopped working today after getting wet. I've let it dry out, tried to charge it, it will vibrate when connected to the charger. The logo will show on the screen, but that is it. I am unable to turn it on, or sync my fitbit to the app on my phone. Ive tried to change the clock face, but nothing is happening. The screen wont turn on. Apart from the fitbit logo when i first charge it. Ive only had this fitbit since June 2022.

@Sof_T Welcome to the Fitbit community!
Sad to hear that your Charge 5 isn't working properly. I'd suggest to to restart it following these instructions:
1.) Connect your Charge 5 to the charging cable which has to be connected to a power source.
2.) Press the button located on the flat end of the charging cable 3 times within 8 seconds, holding each press for about 1 second(!).
3.) Wait around 10 seconds to see if the Fitbit logo appears.
If this doesn't solve the issue, please contact Fitbit support to get further assistance:

Mine got wet, cought in a storm.
It vibrates but has a white screen.
I reset it like you said above. Still the same.
I think I'm going to let it set overnight and try again. I did pop the back off, now I can't get it to snap back on, but I blow it out with my hair dryer, so I'm sure it is dry.
What do you think?
Tamie

Hi Tamie,
The Charge 5 is supposed to be water resistant to a depth of 50 meters so if you are still under warranty, it should be replaced. I would suggest that when you call customer support that you do not mention that you popped the back off. I am pretty sure that would void the warranty and they would not replace it.

Welcome to the Fitbit community, @TamieB61!
Sad to hear what's happened to your Charge 5. Please be aware that such devices aren't built to be opened by the user. So there's no option for the back to being snapped back on. Most of nowadays wearables' cases are glued together to keep them as small as possible thus giving their components as much room as possible.
