Charge 5 not working

My Charge 5 is constantly showing a blue fitbitt logo.  None of the conversations so far have been helpful.  I have contacted customer support, but have not received any help from them.


I tried connecting my fitbitt to the charger and pushing the button 3 times and waiting.  The screen goes blank, and then the fitbitt logo appears, but I still cannot do anything with it.  it does not show me any other information.

I have also tried setting up my Charge 5 as a new device, but it is not recognized.

Also, on my dashboard there is only one big circle showing Calores, and not steps, like it used to do.  How can I change this to show steps when I cannot find the step icon?

Also the Charge 5 is not listed under my Bluetooth products on my phone.  

This has been going on for almost 2 weeks now, and I cannot get any answers.

Can you help?

I'm having the exact same issue. It just started last week Monday .. I've tried all the trouble shooting and nothing helps. I've also tried to connect with Fitbit and no luck. Chat is open today but no one is responding - possible due to the US holiday but then why leave it open and accessible?  I hope there is a fox without having to purchase another device, mine is under 2 years old...this is not value if you have to buy a new device yearly..

I have the same issue. Sometimes it charges and after 30 mins the battery level is critical and I get a black screen again. I just returned it to the store. I's only 11 months old. It's an exepnsive watch if it only lasts one year.

After about a week, I finally heard from Fitbitt Customer Service. 

After they saw the sales receipt for my Charge 5, they offered me either a free replacement, or 50% off another device.

I should be getting my new fitbitt within the month.

So many people are having the same problem, and it's related to their Firmware update.  Mine is completely bricked and all support says is the same scripted response, none of which worked.  I'd say they've completely hung us all out to dry.  Mine is out of warranty, so I'm f*cked.  Thanks FitBit, great way to treat your customer since 2013.

My Charge 5 started working as well. Does anyone know how to proceed with a warranty claim? Mine is under a year old, it will charge and start but then just die in under an hour or just show the blue logo. I've tried all the steps listed above with no success. Tried calling support but it takes hours to get anyone on the line, I wish they had an email or something to contact them with.

Click on your profile in the fitbit app. There you can click on help and make a claim. They are going to send me a replacement.

I was offered the same. I hope they will look for a solution. The warranty counts from the day you bougt the broken device. If it happens again to the replacement it's an expensive watch...

I'm having the same problem as everyone here I guess.  Dark screen on my Charge 5.  Happened about a week ago but eventually I was able to get it to re-charge, even though it had been fully charged about 2 days before. But I had to go in & change the clock face and then it finally came back. Afterwards I was able to change the face back to the one I prefer.  Thought it was something to do with that particular clock face (Bloom), but today I'm not able to get it to do anything! I've pressed the button on the charger cord 3 times, but that does nothing. Just vibrates but it doesn't show anything on the Fitbit face at all. I've had problems with previous models but was sometimes able to get them working again. I don't know why I keep trusting this company!  Thought once Google bought it things might improve. But no such luck. I'm sick of it!  Anyone know of any better devices?

I have the same issue that began last week. My phone went totally dark. I tried to use the button three times on the charger, but nothing happened. My Fitbit is not connecting to my Bluetooth now so I signed out in order to sign back in per recommendations but because my Bluetooth is not recognizing my Fitbit, I can’t sign back in. I’ve tried every solution people have recommended but none of these of work. It must be related to the recent release of the update, which I presume happens automatically for me. So, what are we do?

My Charge 5 turned to the Logo only screen 2 days ago. I have followed all possible options listed in these forums for it to work again, including deleting it from my app. Now, I'm still stuck with the logo, and the Charge 5 is no longer found. That means I can't even try to add it as a device or check the firmware version. It seems suspicious that a new firmware version comes out, which causes this issue for thousands of people, and a new Charge 6 is coming out soon. Is this what we can expect from Google products now? Very disappointed.

Same here. Started 2 weeks ago. Fitbit live chat and email support are either no longer available or not currently working. My Charge 5 is just over a year old.  This is my third fitbit and I’m getting discouraged.
