My charge 5 does not show announcements, is it an iPhone issue? I’ve followed all the step by step to install

When I first got my charge 5, in April this year, I set up notifications and they worked just fine…. About 1 or 2 weeks ago they stopped and now I can’t get them back!  It’s the only part of this watch that I liked!!
