Charge 5 and my experience with Customer Support

My charge 5 has died again ! So contacted customer service 1 hr later I’ve been told it out of warranty and they will give me 35% off a new Fitbit . After trying to complain for days I relented and bought a new one for £99 used my codes for my 35% discount and the new price was £90 😡 wtf that’s not right but the sale had gone through by then . This is a f******scam !!!!

Hi there, @artigrass. Welcome to the Fitbit Community Forums. Thanks for the details provided in your post about the inconveniences you have had with your Charge 5. We‘re taking your comments and sentiments in regards to our products and services into consideration.

Please note that our products are indeed designed and made to last (this goes for each product component) however, there is not an infallible way to ensure that no issues will be present in the long run. Because of this, our Warranty Policy  is set into providing as much coverage as we can. For more information about our warranty, see fitbit.com/legal/returns-and-warranty

As you stated, I've seen you contacted our Support Team before posting here and they've already assisted you. Even though I truly appreciate you took the time to come here and express your feelings towards your experience with your Fitbit devices and also want to find a resolution to your issue, my best advice is to keep the conversation with our team. Note for this kind of inquiries/cases/process, there's not so much we here in the forums can do for you as this is something that our team handles based on our policies. Thanks in advance!

Hi
Thanks for your reply.
I have tried to speak with the response team and the answer I got here’s a
code for 35% off a new Fitbit which I reluctantly took up and then when I
tried to use the 35% discount I was charged £90 for a watch what was on
sale for £99 .
Now when I went to school 35% off £99 did not equate to £9 discount! ( £90
)
Can you please raise this with Fitbit and get my full refund or is it as I a
Stated a scam.
I don’t won’t to give a bad review as I love my Fitbit when it works but
the customer support is letting everyone down .
Look forward to reply
Dominic

Hello @artigrass

I don't think you're going to like this answer. The discount code applies to the full price of the device.

Hi
Thanks for your reply.
So the price was £ 99 Sterling it was on offer so you are saying the 35%
only applies on the full price not on sale price if correct a nice piece
of deception by Fitbit considering the amount of charge 5 s which are
mysteriously going rogue 🤔

It's a money spinner, they want rid of charge 5's as I had 2 die same issues same time after the app went down. They tried to get me to buy off codes too.. no thanks. All accounts have to move to google soon so getting rid of old devices and people buying new ones mean they get accounts to commit to moving over.

I just bought a Garmin so when that arrives, its goodbye Fitbit rubbish.

So you're saying you don't want people to come here and post about the issues they're having? Is that so others don't find out that they're problems with Fitbit aren't unique??
