My charge 5 battery died yesterday, and I attempted to recharge it. From that point on the screen has been malfunctioning. Now it’s dead. It still syncs via the iOS app but the screen won’t turn on. Not sure how to restart device with dead screen.
Best Answer@GPLR and @MissyB70 I had the same issue with non-responsive screen on my Charge 5 shortly after updating to the new firmware. I recommend that you contact Fitbit support. They will walk you through a series of troubleshooting procedures (same ones you've done). Once they confirm that none of the procedures return your device to normal operation and it's still under warranty, they should send you an offer to replace the tracker/pebble or a discount on a different device.
I chose to replace my defective Charge 5. So far, the replacement is working okay even after updating the firmware.

Best AnswerFitbit isn’t going to extend warranty coverage. They offered a discount on a new Fitbit instead.
Seriously considering just abandoning Fitbit for a different device instead.
