Charge 5 screen delayed reaction

Just got a charge 5 at the end of last year. This past month it has started to not wake up and show the screen when I lift my wrist, and it doesn’t always wake up when I tap/double tap the screen. Sometimes I have to tap it 4-6 times before it shows the display. Why is this happening and how does it get fixed?

Sorry to hear you're having problems.  Have you checked to see if Sleep or DND are on?  Sometimes that could stop your screen turning on properly.

Swipe down from the Clock Face screen on your Charge 5 and check that DND Mode is Off, Sleep Mode is Off and Screen Wake is Auto.  If that is the case, it should turn on when you turn your wrist.

If all of them are set correctly but it's still not working, try restarting your Fitbit.  Scroll down from the Clock Face to Settings, tap, then scroll up to Restart Device and follow the instructions.

If that doesn't work, try restarting it from the charging cable.  Put it on the charger then press the button at the USB end 3 times until the Fitbit logo comes up.

If none of those things work, contact Support.  Press Help at the bottom of this page, then Get Support, then Live Chat.
