Surely it can’t be a coincidence so many people’s Charge 5s have stopped working? I’ve been offered 35% off a Charge 6 today by Customer Services. Fitbit seem to have created this problem. Surely they have more obligation to fix it than offering 35% off another device?

I think you're right. My Charge 5 is less than a year old. When I got to working this morning the screen was black and non responsive. After getting home I put on the charger and found out the battery was dead. It was at 100% just a day ago. Reset procedure seems to have worked for now...

Same issue with mine and I changed the clock a few times and it did work first time round and just stopped. No doubt, I have now moved over to Apple watch, Fitbit reliability and functionality need improving.
