Charge 5 screen is unresponsive

I’m extremely mad because I had charged to 100% but as soon as I got to Disneyland where I walked all day the screen was black and not responsive so I left the watch in my car. Yesterday I charged it to 100% and this afternoon went on an hour walk only to see it blacked out again. When I connected it to the charger which in itself is a challenge it showed 90% charged. It keeps doing this. How can I wake the screen and keep it operational? I’m about to start using my Apple Watch because it seems there’s a glitch so I cave and buy charge 6 which I have no plans to do as this was a gift and I’ll just start wearing my Apple Watch instead to track my steps.

Hi there, @FitTop. It's nice to see you around the Fitbit Community Forums. Thanks for bringing this to my attention and for the troubleshooting steps you've tried. I'm sorry to hear that the screen of your Charge 5 is not working properly. I understand your concern, I will do my best to help you with this!

If you haven't done so yet, please try the steps below:

  1. From the Today tab in the Fitbit app, tap the devices icon at the top-left corner.
  2. Tap your Fitbit device image.
  3. Near the bottom of the page, tap Sync Now.

If the above doesn't work, please restart your Fitbit device as suggested here How do I restart my Fitbit device? Note: Restarting the device doesn’t delete any data. If the restart doesn't work try to change your clock face. If this fixes the issue, you can change your clock face back to the original clock face.

This is absurd. Why are all you moderators still tip toeing around the fact, that so many Fitbit owners has already reported the same kind of problem, and that none, like in NONE of your trouble shooting suggestions has worked? Fitbit has a serious problem and you're loosing users/customers not addressing this is a product issue, not a user problem!
