the screen of my charge 5 stopped working completely, only sometimes there are green horizontal line across the screen.
I have already tried all recommended steps (resetting, changing clock face, different charger etc etc) but nothing is working. There also doesn't seem to be any support page working - the phone/chat function is not available in my region and the other page redirects on the support page are broken (page link only gives an error) so it's impossible to contact support directly.
Anyone have any idea of other possible solutions?

Sad to hear that your're having issues with your Charge 5. Thanks for having taken the time trying to get things by yourself.
Considering that you seem to have tried all the useful stuff to get Charge 5 back to working order, I'd suggest to contact Fitbit support fur further assistance to save you further inconvenience :
