My new charge 5 I bought a few months ago won’t reset with the charger, I tried 5 times and nothing. This started with the update. It will sync and screen turns on when I move my wrist but is unresponsive to any touch or swiping. I tried to reinstall Fitbit and charge onto the app, it did not work.
I too have also had a nightmare over the last 2 weeks since I updated. My battery was going fast then it died. A charge wouldnt last 20mins and now I cant even turn my FitBit back on.
Customer support options appear to have vanished off the Fitbit site... I wonder if they removed it due to being in high demand and inundated with people also affected. Not good...
Nope, not good. Such poor service and support. I've been emailing support every day asking when the update will be available, and will continue to do so until they fix the problem so I have a working device or give me my money back.
Same here, my Charge 5 showed the clock but wouldn't swipe, rebooting didn't work, changing the clock face didn't work, I got through to customer service on Friday night and they are sending a replacement. I tried to work around it with tracking but then the Charge 5 started working again on Sunday! I thought it was all resolved but dince this morning it is losing charge in 20 mins and going to black screen so I am hoping that my replacement product comes quickly. If it's a software rather than a hardware issue though maybe it won't resolve it?
This just started happening to me this afternoon. Battery issues started a few weeks ago and now this. I know better than to bother with support because they are no help at all. At this point every single person who contacted support about the C5 should be sent the newest Fitbit model for free, no questions asked.
Today my screen went to Lines and does not function. Syncing and steps, and all features do not work. It simply doesn’t work. I got this charge 5 in may, and this is extremely disappointing. I am a Fitbit charge user through and through but I am switching.
Best AnswerMine just acted up today. Worked fine since Feb. White bar across the top of the screen and the rest black. Tied the 3 button tap reset, no change. The charge 5 vibrates after each button tap but I never see the Fitbit logo that indicates it is resetting
Now I will try the clock face change but from what I read it will likely be a waste of time.
Surprisingly I did not have the battery draining issue and I have Version 1.171.50
Despite a black screen my App indicates that it did sync this morning.
