My Fitbit charge 5 is always showing the red light and is constantly not staying charged after showing its at 100% and be dead not even a hour after.

Thank you for joining the thread and sharing that you're experiencing a similar issue. I appreciate your troubleshooting efforts and recommend trying to turn off heart-rate tracking on your device: open the Settings app > Heart Rate > tap to turn the setting Off. After that restart the device once again and then turn on the heart-rate tracking. I was able to see that you have already contacted our Support team regarding this, please continue working with them. I know they will be glad to help you out and provide a solution.

I couldn't get mine to stop. I took it back and got my refund... the versa 2 I liked more...I'm going to do better research next time before buying another fitbit...

I’ve done that and now it’s completely bricked and stuck in a boot loop. Customer support is clearly giving me the run around saying they and sending to a higher level of support and I haven’t heard anything back. Pretty disappointed and mad I spent $180 on a broken device Fitbit won’t stand behind.
