Charge 5... something seriously wrong???

I purchased my Charge 5 in Feb 2022 and love, love, love it, when it works!!!!  In April 2022, it went to black screen and wouldn't  charge, so Fitbit sent me a new one.   in July 2022, after a 15 min swim, again black frozen screen, so Fitbit sent me a new one.  in Nov 2022, again after a swim, again frozen black screen, again Fitbit sent me a new one.

Last week, ie Oct 2023, went swimming first time in a year and, guess what, black frozen screen AGAIN!!!  Surely Fitbit cannot keep saying that this watch is waterproof, as it isn't.   So yet again, I will be contacting Fitbit for a replacement.....

Aahhhhh!!!!!!

Waterproof or water resistant, either way it states its safe upto 50m in water.  I was swimming in 1.4m of water and still the watch froze.

My Fitbit bought in Dec 2022, yesterday I went for a short swim, I usually take it off for showering. Logo then black screen. I dried it out for 24 hours now it's on, but not registering my heart rate or anything. 

If it ever works again I won't be wearing it in the water.
