I have a new Anroid, replaced an older model of same phone, and have tried everything I can find online. Still not receiving notifications!

Hello @melanielogan

Here's the link to the Fitbit help page on notifications which has the recommended troubleshooting steps: How do I get notifications from my phone to my Fitbit? (<-- click link)

This is from the Charge 5 manual: Notifications from your phone (<-- click link)

Hopefully, these pages will help you get your notifications.

Hi there, @melanielogan. Welcome to the Fitbit Community Forums. It's sad to hear that you're still not able to receive notifications on your Charge 5 after upgrading your phone. I appreciate you've taken the time to troubleshoot this issue prior to posting here, I'll be glad to help you with this.

In addition to the tips and recommendations provided by @RiekoC, I'd also recommend trying the steps below in the order listed:

  • Unpair your Charge 5 from your old phone's Bluetooth and also from the new phone.
  • Unpair other Bluetooth devices that you may also have paired to your phone's Bluetooth settings.
  • Force quit the Fitbit app.
  • Turn off other Bluetooth connections when not in use. This can help to prevent connectivity issues or Bluetooth interference.
  • Shut off your phone and turn it on after 1-2 minutes.
  • Turn on the Bluetooth on your new phone.
  • Plug it into the charging cable and open the Fitbit app.
  • Set up your Charge 5 again.
  • Set up notifications on your Charge 5 again.

With the steps above, what I want you to do is to pair your Charge 5 first to your phone's Bluetooth settings before any other Bluetooth device is connected to your phone.

Hope this does the trick, let us know how it goes.
