My charge 5 stopped recording my recent exercise as of May 7/23. Why?

Sad to hear that you're having an issue with your Charge 5. If you are using Charge 5's auto detection of exercises, please be aware that it takes 15 minutes before SmartTrack starts recording your exercise.
Please try to track an exercise manually to see if that works. Have a closer look here to do so:

You could also try restarting your device to get things fixed. To do so, please closely follow these instructions:
1.) Connect your Charge 5 to the charging cable which has to be connected to a power source.
2.) Press the button located on the flat end of the charging cable 3 times within 8 seconds(!), holding each press for about 1 second(!).
3.) Wait around 10 seconds until the Fitbit logo appears on your device's display.
As a final resort please contact Fitbit support to get further assistance as your device might be defective:
Charge, Charge HR, Blaze, Versa, Versa 2, Charge 5, Charge 6, Versa 4, Aria, Aria 2, Pixel 4a, Pixel 7
