Charge 5 stopped vibrating for my notifications

Hi,

I had problems with my charge 5 a couple of weeks, I got a black screen and it was vibrating constantly. After reading on some forums I got the answer to restart it through my charger-cable (the little button), three times pushing the buttons, and well, it didnt work, now instead I just saw the logo and nothing more, and it was vibrating irregularly.

I google again and got  the answer that the fitbit need to be updated, so I checked in the app and saw that yes, there is an update but, but I couldn't update since I just saw this fitbit logo and nothing more, but somehow,,, suddenly I got a connection to it and the update was done, and after that update the fitbit has been working as normal.

BUT, until now I got another problem. The fitbit do not  vibrate at all. I've tested everything. Setting alarms, trying the vibrating settins in the settingsmenu of the fitbit. Really checked so its not in dnd or sleep mode and everything. Everyting is ON. My mobile is not in any DND-mode or something.... and there is no update right now for the fitbit.

So I guess its broken?

Hi there, @Jejjan. Welcome to the Fitbit Community Forums. I'm pleased to hear that you managed to solve the issue with the screen. I appreciate you sharing the steps that worked for you. On the other hand, thanks for bringing this to my attention and for the troubleshooting steps you've tried. I'm sorry to hear that your Charge 5 is still not vibrating. I understand your concern, I will do my best to help you with this!

As our last resort, I'd recommend performing a factory reset on your Charge 5. Important: Take into consideration that a factory reset deletes any stored data, which includes all data that hasn't synced to your Fitbit account and your applications, alarms, etc.

With the above being said, please sync your Charge 5 and then, proceed with the steps below in the order listed:

  1. Swipe down from the clock screen to find the Settings app.
  2. On your Fitbit device, open the Settings app > Device Info > Clear User Data

You can follow the steps to set up the device after that How do I set up my Fit-bit device?

Hello,

I did Clear user data, it restarted and I reconnected it to my mobile phone, the fitbit app. But it didnt work, there is no notification vibrations. I set an alarm, I tried countdown and also regulated the vibrations strength in the settings menu. But nothing happen. So I guess its broken?

Hello @Jejjan

If you are still within your warranty period, you could contact Fitbit support (<-- click link). Complete the information and select continue until you get to the contact options. I recommend calling over chat.
