My Charge 5 has stopped vibrating
i have restarted the device and checked that dnd and sleep mode are turned off
ive disconnected and reconnected to my phone also

Before considering options, please make sure the restart procedure that you've tried is the three pulse restart using the charging cable. Since you already disabled DND and Sleep Mode, if you continue to experience the same inconvenience, I recommend that you get in touch with the Customer Support team for further assistance with this.
