Charge 5 stopped working after being charged

the device after a charge started vibrating and i rest the device on my phone and it worked until the next charge. Now it is charged only shows an x encased in a circle and will not stop vibrating it will continue to d oso until the battery is worn out?

@TE65 Welcome to the Fitbit community!

What you've described can happen when you try to install a new clock face but the installation process couldn't complete. I'd suggest selecting a different clock face for installation in the Fitbit app. Make sure that your device and your phone are nearby during installation.

 

If this doesn't solve the issue, please try to restarting your Charge 5 by following these instructions:

 

1.) Connect your device to the charging cable which has to be connected to a power source.

2.) Press the button located on the USB Plug of the charger 3 times within 8 seconds, holding each press for about 1 second.

3.) Wait 10 seconds or until the Fitbit logo appears.
