Hi there, @bbarreto. Welcome to the Fitbit Community Forums. I'm sorry to hear that your Charge 5 stopped working after getting wet. I understand where your concern is coming from. I'll do my best to help you with this situation.
If your device got wet, it’s important to take it off and dry it well before putting it back on. On the other hand, if your device has come into contact with any liquid other than fresh water, you should clean it with fresh water and a soap-free cleanser and dry it with a lint free-cloth.
If you've done the above but to no avail, may I know if your Charge 5 vibrated during the restart process? If it didn't, I'd recommend trying the steps below:

I have exactly same issue. Went snorkling for 30 minutes. My watch now appears dead

OK, what if it does vibrate? And flash, and then goes to black screen?

@bbarreto Was there chlorine in the pool? That chemical could be corrosive to the watch.

I have tried all of this and mine is still dead, it vibrates when put on charge. The clock face is blank, it was fine before I got it wet.

No luck. No advice has worked. Spent 20 mins in a pool. What is the point of a watch which is 50m resistancd but I can't spend 20mins playing with my kids in the pool.
Won't be a fitbit user for much longer in this case 😞

What? Where can you swim then, in your bath tub? Pretty poor to promote this and then turn around and make these suggestions if this has come from
Water lock Turn on the water lock setting when you're in water, for example showering or swimming, to prevent your screen from activating. When water lock is on, your screen locks, and the water lock icon appears at the
bottom. Notifications and alarms still appear on your tracker, but you must unlock your screen to interact with them.
To turn on water lock, swipe down from the clock
screen tap Water Lock firmly tap your
screen twice. To turn off water lock, firmly double-tap the middle of the screen with your finger. If you don't see "Unlocked" appear on screen, try tapping harder. Turning off this feature uses the accelerometer in your device, which takes more force to activate. Note that water lock turns on automatically when you start a swim in the Exercise app.
20 mins seems hardly enough time to make this type of issue occur but I would think a watch promoted as 50m water resistant should withstand laps swimming which more than likely would be in a chlorinated pool.

Sorry and it was vibrating without stopping for periods but the screen remains blank for the most part until the fit it logo appears and then returns to the darkness.
