Charge 5 stopped working altogether

Hi, 

been using my charge five for at least a year. 

I accepted that it doesn’t work on treadmills and use it otherwise.

Thursday the screen was out. I thought it was low on battery. I put it on the charger overnight and went to use it today. put it on my wrist and the screen was blank and unresponsive.  

I stuck it back on the charger to see what would happen and the screen came alive.  Great! 

everything was working just fine and I went through the process of doing a restart since things were kind of weird.

after the restart, the screen never worked again. All that happens now is a continuous intermittent vibration.  

having worked with electronics my whole life, something like that is typically the sign of a broken circuit board inside.

just wondering if I am correct and if this thing is no longer of any use.

Nothing I have tried has been able to get it out of you never ending, randomly intermittent vibration.

This is exactly what has just happened my Fitbit. 
I was running and it turned off so went home to reset it, it came back to life.

but now has gone dead again and will only vibrate but not switch on.  The light at the back is green and is syncing to the app.  But no screen.

wow.  i’m surprised yours can synch. mine is 100% dead except the intermittent vibration.  

no answer here has me thinking mine is broken.  as in the circuit board inside broke. 

this is the second fitbit i have had that broke.  my old charge 4 had a structural failure. the mechanism that holds the bands on broke so that was the end of that one. 

these things kind of suck.  but so does every other brand from what i see everywhere.  the fitness tracker industry is in an incredibly bad state

so i guess i’m buying a charge 6. i wonder how this one will fail
