This morning my 18-month Charge 5 stopped working. The screen is made of grey lines, and there is nothing else that I can be done to it. Performed the hard reset, 3x button on the charging cable, but no change.
It was very well taken care of, not used while swimming, showering, cycling or running. Just occasional walks.
This is our 4th Fitbit, and I loved my Charge 5, however considering the issues others seems to have with these devices nowadays, it might be the time to look for another brand.
I contacted Fitbit customer support, provided the pictures and they said an email will be sent to me with the options. Since it's past 1-year I won't get most likely a replacement, but I am not sure I want to spend money on another one, if the projected lifespan is this short. They clearly have a reliability problem with these, and they should compensate their customer for this.
