With all of the threads about Charge 5s bricking, I’m wondering if it would make sense to pick one of the threads on the Fitbit community and coordinate responses on it? Seems like a coordinated effort to show the volume of issues might helpful.
Mine was 1.5yrs old when it happened, and while a bummer, I’m not really expecting anything from Fitbit. But I do think my issue is software related as the issue occurred after updates and has gotten progressively worse since late December.

I got mine last May, so it lasted about 6 months.
It does not charge anymore, stays at 0%, nothing works, completely bricked

Mine bricked in March of 2023, after just one year of ownership (interesting!) I charged it overnight and when I put it on my wrist in the morning, it was completely bricked. Just the Fitbit logo would show up for a few seconds and then black. I chatted with support and they determined that, after I tried everything they suggested to fix the issue, it was indeed dead. this was their response:
We appreciate you reaching out to us via live chat support about the issue you have been experiencing with your Charge 5's display. We are happy to continue assisting you from here.
Fitbit's limited warranty covers 365 days from the original date of purchase. Upon further review, we were able to determine that your watch has already exceeded the warranty period. To know more about our warranty policy, you may refer to our Returns & Warranty page.
Although this is the case, we do understand how important it is for you to stay motivated with a fully functioning tracker which is why we would like to offer you the privilege of getting a discount. This would be a discount towards the purchase of any of the select devices from fitbit.com.
We have sent you a separate email which will include the code that you may use at checkout at our online store.

I loved my Charge 5 so I happily bought another. Let's see if this new one actually lasts longer than a year. If not, I'll have to look into other options as it's not a good value if I have to purchase yearly.

I'm also out of warranty as the Charge 5 was a replacement for my Charge 4 - which also broke overnight. So I received a replacement that lasted about 7 months before also breaking and warranty counts from the initial purchase.
So yeah, that was my last purchase

Many people have owned Fitbit 5 1, 2, 3 and even 4 times. The usable life of this particular product is, it seems, from about 4 months to a year. The fact that yours lasted a whole year made it a veteran.
