Charge 5 stopped working

my charge 5 screen stopped responding on March 3.  The Fitbit continued to report activity to the app on the iPhone.   It also accepted charging.   This morning the charge 5 accepted a charge and an update.   The screen is now active and responding normally.  

no idea why it suddenly woke today.
