My 10 month old charge 5 began to suddenly vibrate continuously while on my wrist this evening and also displayed the fitbit logo.
After about 1 minute of this the vibrating stopped but the logo stayed on the screen and has remained there for the last hour.
I have tried to charge it. I have tried to reset by pressing the button on the cable while connected and have tried shutting down the app and Bluetooth and restarting my phone. Nothing works.

Hi there, @garylifo. Welcome to the Community Forums. Thanks for trying to troubleshoot the issue with your Charge 5 before posting here.
Please note the issue you're having comes from performing a factory reset without first unpairing your Fitbit device from your Fitbit account and phone's Bluetooth settings. With that being said, I suggest following the steps below in the order listed:
If you can't get started with your Charge 5, usually a missing requirement is the cause. Carefully review the requirements provided in the help article Why can't I set up my Fitbit device?
If you continue having difficulties to update your Fitbit device, see Why can't I update my Fitbit device?
Was my post helpful? Give it a thumbs up to show your appreciation! Of course, if this was the answer you were looking for, don't forget to make it the Best Answer! Als...

Many thanks for this reply. Just to clarify, these steps have been performed as you descrbed and sadly did not fix the issue. In addition, I was not performing any factory reset on the device at the time it malfunctioned. I was wearing it as normal while watching TV. I had not interacted with the device at all. It suddenly began to vibrate continously on my wrist with the logo showing.
I appreciate it may be possible that the device somehow malfunctioned and attempted to factory reset itself, and if so then this may explain the problem. However, the device seems to now be permanently locked and if I connect it to the charge cable with my phone switched off, all that happens is the logo appears after a couple of minutes and then it begins to vibrate over again. Any attempt to use the reset button on the cable does not have any effect on the device.
I presume I need to contact support regarding a replacement seeing as I am within the 12 month warranty?
Thanks
Gary

How is an answer that did not fix my problem at all been voted as the 'best answer'?
My £135 device has basically become bricked within 10 months and there does not seem to be any obvious way I can get help with it.
Apologies if I am sounding salty, but best answer? Really?
