Charge 5 stuck on Fitbit logo

My Fitbit charge 5 has a black screen with the starting logo and can't turn on. Only the starting logo stands and can not proceed. I restarted it, unpair from the app and it still wouldn't start. Then deleted the fitbit app from the phone and installed it again, but it didn't work. later i tried to connect the fitbit charge 5 to another phone but no success. it can be restarting but only see the starting logo and nothing.

Hi there, @PetarM. Welcome to the Fitbit Community Forums. Thanks for trying to troubleshoot the issue with your Charge 5 before reaching out. 

As per the description of your post, it seems like your Charge 5 is having battery issues. If you've tried charging your Charge 5 for more than 2 hours but to no avail, please see Why ins't my FItbit device's battery charging?

If the above doesn't work, connect your Charge 5 to the charger and try the following (while it's connected to the charging cable and even if some of them you've tried already):

  • Unpair your Charge 5 from your phone's Bluetooth and Fitbit app.
  • Unpair other Bluetooth devices that you may also have paired to your phone's Bluetooth settings.
  • Force quit the Fitbit app.
  • Turn off other Bluetooth connections when not in use. This can help to prevent connectivity issues or Bluetooth interference.
  • Shut off your phone and turn it on after 1-2 minutes.
  • Turn on the Bluetooth on your phone.
  • Plug it into the charging cable and open the Fitbit app.
  • Set up your Charge 5.
  • If there is no connection, restart your Charge 5.
  • Once your Charge 5 is paired and syncing, please proceed to set up your other Bluetooth devices to your phone again. 

With the steps above, what I want you to do is to pair your Charge 5 first to your phone's Bluetooth settings before any other Bluetooth device is connected to your phone.

I have the same issue and followed all of these steps. The Fitbit is not responsive and just shows the logo.

I have a black screen, my fitbit was charged before this happend. I have followed instructions to change. I just have the logo. No lights on the back of fitbit.

Obviously only the bot replies with some script and thats it! No resolving the issue or real support!!! Deeply disappointed!!! 8 months life of this fitbit charge 5 and thats it!

Hi,
Not sure if you've had an update but I went onto chat and I confirmed I had done everything recommended and they agreed to send me a new one, its arriving today!

I have the same problem and the generic fix instructions don't help. I wonder if there was a recent firmware update that is buggy.

I have the same problem, nothing helped

Now I bought a Forerunner from Garmin, I was so disappointed in Fitbit and its service and the quality of the Charge 5

They know the firmware update is bricking watches, but they continue to push the update.  Then, they try to get you to buy another watch to increase their profits.  They purposely destroy your watch to make you buy it again.  Can you imagine if Windows, Apple, or Tesla tried this scam?

I didn't pay for a new one, if its in warranty you shouldnt have to buy a new one!

I have a FITBIT since 2015, love them. I love my charge 5 small light perfect. I realy want mine repaired. I did everything even bought a new charger. It synced and it worked fot 5 seconds then the LOGO came back on the screen. That was the same before the black screen. What should I do? Find it hard to find the way to report this.
