Charge 5 stuck on Fitbit logo

Actually, I don't need help.  I am providing this as info.

A bit ago, my Charge 5 just got stuck at the logo.  I have had it for months and it just got stuck at the logo screen.  Won't sync.  I tried to bring it back to life on charger - no go.  Anyway, went to Fitbit support and after many an experiment, all attempts failed so they sent me a new one.

Fast forward to last week, same thing happened to wife's Charge 5.  But because she is traveling, she didn't have time to deal with it as it was just stuck at the logo - same as mine.  She charged it, no change and gave up and let it sit.  About a week later, it came back to life like nothing has happened.  I would have actually considered this option if I had known it might work.  Just posting this as FYI to anyone else who encounters the same issue - no saying that will fix it but if all options suggested by FitBit support fail, she full day charged it, took it off charger and let it sit for about a week (could have been less time - she noticed it a week later)

I've been having the same problem, but mine is out of warranty.

I think the answer is to keep the P.O.S. charged to 30% so it resets itself more quickly when it does lock up, which has been every day this week.

This issue just happened go me this morning. It was working fine and now is stuck on the logo. I did  troubleshooting as recommended and nothing.  Fitbit is going to let me know if they can replace it or not. I've had it less than a year. Don't get it wet. Haven't dropped it or anything. I'm pretty bummed.

Mine was out of warranty. Luckily, I bought it at Costco and they took it back just today.

The same thing happened to mine and it came back to life about 2 days later.  Unfortunately, after about 10 hours, it reverted back to the logo screen and won’t sync my data.  I guess I’ll throw it in a drawer for a week. LOL

Hi @KNReid. Welcome to the community forums.

Thanks for sharing the details regarding your Charge 5.

Please, try to perform these steps:

  • Unpair your Charge 5 from your phone's Bluetooth and also make sure it's no longer connect to your Fitbit app.
  • Force quit the Fitbit app.
  • Turn off the Bluetooth.
  • Shut off your phone and turn it on after 1-2 minutes.
  • Turn on the Bluetooth.
  • Set up your Charge 5 again.
  • If there is no connection, restart your Charge 5.

If you can't get started with your Charge 5, usually a missing requirement is the cause. Carefully review the requirements provided in the help article Why can't I set up my Fitbit device?
