Hi, @Csean5807 a circle with a cross in it sounds like either a failed update or a failed factory reset.  Can you access any of the menu options on the Charge 5?  If not really your only option is to try to get it to pair with your phone again.

First, make sure your Fitbit is well charged - a couple of hours on the charger even if it doesn’t appear to be charging.

Please get all other Bluetooth devices, except for your phone and your Fitbit, out of range (or turned off) as sometimes the signals can interfere with each other.   Then make sure that your Charge 5 is removed from your phone’s Bluetooth settings (delete or forget the Charge 5 from Bluetooth).

When you are ready to try the set up again, log out of your Fitbit app (make sure you know your user email and password!) then turn off your phone.  Wait a moment and then reboot the phone, make sure Bluetooth is turned on and with your Charge 5 next to your phone log back in to your Fitbit app and try the set up again.  If the app still can’t find your Charge 5, give it a restart using the button on the flat end of the charging wire.  Try this a couple of times.  You can also try toggling Bluetooth off on the phone and then turning it back on again.

If the app finds the Charge 5 it will alert you during the set up process if there is an update available for the Fitbit.  If you are prompted to update go ahead and do it.

If after trying all these steps you still cannot get it to connect then it is time to get in touch with Fitbit Customer Support on Contact.fitbit.com .  Be sure to let them know the trouble shooting steps you have already tried as that will save time.

Good luck, and let us know how it goes!

If after trying this a few times you still can’t get it to connect
