Charge 5 stuck on Fitbit logo

So, I’ve had my Charge 5 since September 2021 and it’s generally been great.  Last night, it ran out of batteries when I was out and i plugged it into its charger when I got home.  The display changed to the Fitbit logo and then stayed that way.  It wouldn’t sync or anything.  After restarting it, restarting my phone, turning my phone bluetooth on and off, nothing.  I was told to forget the device and try to pair it again as a new Fitbit but nothing.  It doesn’t even show up as a discoverable device on my iPhone any more.  When i restarted it, it just went to random lines for a bit and then back to the Fitbit logo.

Is there anything I can do? I’m getting sick of restarting everything only to have it not work.

Thoughts?

Thanks!

Hi there, @tylerschott1977. Thanks for stopping by in the Fitbit Community Forums and trying to troubleshoot the issue with your Charge 5 before posting here.

Since your Charge 5 is not showing up as discoverable on your iPhone, please try the following steps in the order listed:

  • Make sure your Charge 5 is no longer showing up on your phone's Bluetooth settings nor the Fitbit app.
  • Unpair other Bluetooth devices that you may also have paired to your phone's Bluetooth settings.
  • Force quit the Fitbit app.
  • Turn off other Bluetooth connections when not in use. This can help to prevent connectivity issues or Bluetooth interference.
  • Shut off your phone and turn it on after 1-2 minutes.
  • Turn on the Bluetooth on your phone.
  • Plug it into the charging cable and open the Fitbit app.
  • Set up your Charge 5.
  • If there is no connection, restart your Charge 5.
  • Once your Charge 5 is paired and syncing, please proceed to set up your other Bluetooth devices to your phone again.

With the steps above, what I want you to do is to pair your Charge 5 first to your phone's Bluetooth settings before any other Bluetooth device is connected to your phone.
