If you still have the issue, may I know if your Charge 5 is fully charged? If you haven't done so yet, please try the following steps in the order listed while your Charge 5 is connected to the charging cable:
With the steps above, what I want you to do is to pair your Charge 5 first to your phone's Bluetooth settings before any other Bluetooth device is connected to your phone.

Best AnswerSame issue. Nothing has helped so far. Fitbit goes from blinking Fitbit logo to Red Cross and overheating. I tried the freezer trick, no it didn't work at least for me.
