Hi there, @Raybirds. Welcome to the Fitbit Community Forums. Thanks for bringing this to my attention. I'm sorry to hear that your Charge 5 is stuck on a white X in a red circle. I understand your concern, I will do my best to help you with this!
If you haven't done so yet, I'd recommend trying the following steps:
- Sync in the Fitbit app. From the Today tab, tap the devices icon > device > Sync Now.
- If Sync Now doesn’t show an update banner, please tap the devices icon > your device > Gallery. The app should show a pop up to install the missing apps and recover the device.
- Restart your device. For more information, see How do I restart my Fitbit device?
