I have had issues recently with my device (Charge 5) freezing
the display shows five dots and no tapping or swiping will clear it. It seems to still record data but I have tried to charge it and reset it via the button on the usb plug to get the screens back but it won't reset.

To better assist you, please make sure you've restarted your Fitbit device as suggested here How do I restart my Fitbit device?. If the restart doesn't work try to change your clock face. If this fixes the issue, you can change your clock face back to the original clock face.
