Charge 5 suddenly became unstable

My Charge 5 started behaving weirdly today. Although fully charged, it displayed 20% of battery just one minute after being disconnected from the charger. The screen sometimes does not turn on after tapping. This device is still under 1 year of warranty.

Thank you for sharing that you've having this inconvenience with your Charge 5 device and that you already tried a few troubleshooting steps. 

If you haven't done so already, please try the following steps that have been useful for other users with similar problems:  

  1. Complete the 3 pulse restart procedure a
  2. Follow these steps in case you're having trouble to charge your device. 
  3. Please sync your device in the Fitbit app by tapping your profile picture > Charge 5 > Sync Now.
  4. If you  can't sync, tap on your profile picture > Charge 5 > Tile to see if a firmware banner appears. 
  5. If it's still unresponsive, please try changing the clock face as well and check if you're able to see anything on the display. 
  6. Set up your Charge 5 as a new device in your account.

@DavideFitbitThanks for getting back. I tried the suggested steps and the problem persists. Although fully charged, the battery is completely drained within an hour. I think the battery of my device might have failed. As the device is still under 1 year warranty, can you instruct me how to get it replaced?

I've been informed that you already contacted the Customer Support team for further assistance with this and it seems they've provided you with some instructions. In this case, they will let you know how to proceed.
