Charge 5 syncing issues

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I bought a Charge 4 in 2020.  In June 2023 I bought my Charge 5 when the 4 finally died.  Never any problems.  I did love using the combination of the PC app :(, and the phone App to track my daily activity.

Yesterday my Charge 5 went into the weeds after a 10,000 step morning.  It somehow added this workout to the day before data, jumping to 25,000 steps, 12 miles etc.  The screen swipe got laggy, and it would not sync with the phone app.  stopped syncing. I tried the options, turned on/ off bluetooth, restarted phone and app, restarted the watch from settings (which tells me I will not lose any data). This worked but it lost all the data for the day.

This is the second time this now has happened in 4 or so months.  Never had any problems previous.  Things seem to be going downhill generally from a user experience point of view for me.  Google does not seem to grok embedded systems and IoT programming.  Time to look around.

Hello @MGeo03

There has been issues on the Fitbit side that affects data syncing and data discrepancies. The team is aware of the issues and have been working on getting the problems fixed.

For now, there's isn't any troubleshooting we can do on our side. Hopefully, it won't be too much longer before the problems are fixed and we see all our data properly recorded in the Fitbit app.
