Yesterday my Charge 5 went unresponsive and will not wake up when face tapped on tracker. Found in Community in past that if I connected to my charger and do the 3 Pulse restart that it may resolve. When I do this restart all I get is a blinking Fitbit logo. Also saw that reinstalling the app on my Android phone or disconnecting it from my phone bluetooth may help. I did both of these and now when I open Fitbit app on my Android phone there is a banner at the top stating "To sync reliably, let Fitbit link to your Charge 5" I click on the banner that takes me to a page that states" Bluetooth Pairing and Linking". After some time I get that there was an error and option to try again which I do and get the same result. On my Android phone settings I go to the Bluetooth setting and try to add a new device and the phone doesn't find my Charge 5 to set up. I need HELP!!!!

There seems to be several variations of the Charge 5 breakdown and subsequent black screens recently. As I reported in other posts, my device unexpectedly and completely failed with the black screen of death. There was no published remedy to this total black screen error that has worked so far..
Curiously. this morning, I attempted the 3 press button restart procedure again. The device opened to the triangle charge 5 logo but would proceed no further. It had rested in the black screen mode for about 14 hours. It makes no systematic sense to me at this point. I will continue to work on restarting the device. The only unique step I have made in the intervening time was to disconnect it from the Bluetooth pairing. But I highly doubt this had any effect on this morning's screen landing on the opening icon.

My Fitbit Charge 5 when "dead with a black/blank screen" yesterday after constantly virbating for 30 minutes. I then plugged it in to recharge it. It changed to "constantly vibrating when I have it charging" (while the screen remains black). I tried the "three button sequence" and it seem to "have some life," but it is not working properly. It is continuously vribrating. When I disconnect the charging wire, it continues vibrating for about 30 minutes, then goes blank again. (I think it simply is vibrating until the battery wear down. The screen remains black/blank.) Any ideas? (Note: I also tried turning bluetooth on and off. Nothing happened!)
