Charge 5 unresponsive

Like everyone else here, I have a Charge 5 that I bought used that's gone completely unresponsive. Attempts to use the three button press method on the charger to reset the fitbit have resulted in nothing. The unit reboots, shows the fitbit logo for a second and a half, and then the screen goes blank, and the fitbit does not respond to anything, not to taps nor connecting the charger, and it will not connect to the app on the phone. I've been looking for any other advice to fix the problem, and I'm aghast at the number of people who are complaining of the same exact problem with their watches. And Google, is this your way to force to planned obsolescence on your users, to get people to buy the newest and the best? I have only one thing to say to that: GET STUFFED. Do no evil, huh? This is nothing but evil.
