Charge 5 white screen

I have just recharged my Charge 5 after the battery went dead whilst I was ill. The screen is now showing a white screen and when I tap it see the stats it flickers with horizontal lines just like a very old fashioned TV gone wrong. Any ideas why this could be happening? I’ve followed steps to reset. It doesn’t work.I’ve followed steps to change the clock and it starts to do something but then dies and reverts to a white screen again.
