Charge 5 will not keep charge

I took my fitbit charge 5 off yesterday to wish my hands and it fell in the sink. Although I know that it's waterproof. There was nothing on the screen. I know the battery couldn't have died as it had like 70% charge life left. When I got home and placed it in the charger it was it 1%. I charged it too 100% then put it in and got ready for bed. At sunrise I wanted to check the time, the screen was again not showing anything. I thought it strange as it was fully charged. Put on charger says 1% again....puzzled...fully charged then went to the gym. Got on the treadmill, went into the treadmill settings, in less than 10mins it was out again help!

Same thing happened to me about  4 days ago. It shows that it’s charging. Charged 100% then I  put it on and nothing happened, put it back on the charger and shows 1%…  now it is working. After I started typing this. Let’s see how long?
