This is the second charge 5 that failed just past the 1 one year mark. The charge 5 no longer has any display, it sync's to the app no problem. It seems to recording steps and heart rate ok just no display. I have tried restarting it with the cable. I am starting to think the quality of Fitbit is trash, they seem to fail just past the end of the warranty. Sorry for the rant but just disappointed with the quality. Does anyone have any idea how to get the display working

Thank you for sharing the information with me regarding this difficulty with your Charge 5. Sorry for the inconvenience that you are experiencing.
Since your device is syncing, please try to change the clock face as indicated here: How do I change the clock face on my Fitbit device?
Please try to sync in the Fitbit app by tapping the upper left corner icon > Device > Sync Now.
If Sync Now doesn’t work, tap the upper left corner icon > Device > Tile to see if the firmware banner appears.
