Three days ago I noticed my Charge 5 was losing battery power quickly, lasting less than a day. When I recharged, it would charge only to 99%, never to 100%, as before. Last night I left it plugged in to charge all night. When I disconnected to wear it, the percentage dropped from 99% to 1% right away. I have tried resetting on my own. I called Fitbit support and the guy had me push the button on the cable three times, issued a ticket number and said good luck. I tried charging again, same behavior, drops to 1%. I suspect this is planned obsolescence as on my Charge 2 several years ago. Last time, Fitbit offered a discount on a new device. I guess this is how they keep people hooked on their products.
Update: I forgot nto mention: But today I got a 9-year anniversary badge. So I suppose I should be happy!

Update 2: And so far, no response from Fitbit to my email asking what's the next step.
