Dear Fitbit Team,
I am deeply frustrated and disappointed with my experience using the Fitbit Charge 5. After just about a year of use, the battery completely stopped working. What’s even more shocking is that there is absolutely no service or repair support available in India.
When I reached out for assistance, I was essentially told that my only option is to dispose of the device and purchase a new one. This is completely unacceptable. A brand as well-known as Fitbit should have a proper support network in place, especially in a country like India, where you have a significant customer base. Expecting customers to simply discard an expensive device because of a battery issue, something that should be easily replaceable, is not just bad customer service, but also incredibly wasteful.
It’s frustrating to see Fitbit continue to market and sell its products in India without offering even basic repair services. Why should customers invest in a premium wearable if it becomes useless within a year with no recourse? This lack of support feels like a deliberate attempt to force people into an endless cycle of purchasing new devices instead of providing sustainable solutions.
I urge you to reconsider your approach and establish proper service centers or repair options for your Indian customers. Ignoring this issue will only damage Fitbit’s reputation and push loyal users toward more reliable alternatives. Please take this seriously and provide a real solution instead of suggesting we simply buy another device.
PS: I bought my device in October 2023.

Hi there, @jaypp. It's nice to see you the Fitbit Comunity Forums. Thanks for bringing this to my attention. I'm sorry to hear about the issues with your Charge 5. I understand how annoying this can be, I will do my best to help you with this!
As you already know, please note that we don't have repair centers in any country where Fitbit trackers are sold.
Even though I truly appreciate you took the time to come here and express your feelings towards your experience with your Charge 5 and also want to find a resolution to your issue, my best advice is to keep the conversation with our Support Team. Note for this kind of inquiries/cases/process, there's not so much we here in the forums can do for you as this is something that our team handles based on our policies.
Thanks in advance!
Was my post helpful? Give it a thumbs up to show your appreciation! Of course, if this was the answer you were looking for, don't forget to make it the Best Answer! Als...
