Charge 5 won't charge

My FitBit 5 won't charge, I have tried the steps on this forum by pressing the button on the charge cable three times, however it is still not working.

Hi there, @Tambaino. Welcome to the Fitbit Community Forums. Thanks for bringing this to my attention and for the troubleshooting steps you've tried. I'm sorry to hear that your Charge 5 is not charging. I understand your concern, I will do my best to help you with this!

Please note that there are some issues that affect this, being which power source is used and how clean the contacts are and how well the charger is seated. If you are charging your Charge 5 on the wall socket, try using another CE certified USB adapter for low energy devices.

Thank you for your response, I tried all of these things but nothing
worked. The blue fitbit sign flashed on for a couple of seconds and then
the screen went black again. Strangely enough, the little green sensor at
the back is picking up my touch.

@Tambaino Thanks for the update and for trying the steps I recommended. Since all the steps you tried didn't work, you have a Charge 5 and report it's not charging, I need additional information from you that would best be shared privately.
