Charge 5 won't charge

My charge 5 is not charging and the screen will not turn on. I have tried the reset with the button on the charging cable but that does not work. The app shows 7% battery but is not able to sync. Help please!

Hi there, @Mr_Cliffe. Welcome to the Fitbit Community Forums. Thanks for bringing this to my attention and for the troubleshooting steps you've tried. I'm sorry to hear that your Charge 5 is still not charging. I understand your concern, I will do my best to help you with this!

Please follow the tips and recommendations provided in this help article Why isn't my Fitbit device's battery charging? Let's try making sure both, your Charge 5 and charge are clean and free of any debris.

Also, please note that sometimes a Fitbit doesn’t seem to be charging when actually the issue is that it has become unresponsive (this can happen if the battery has been allowed to discharge completely). I'd recommend putting it on to charge on a charging wire and outlet known to be working.  Leave it on the charger for a good two hours, even if it doesn’t seem to be charging.  

Regarding the battery level on the Fitbit app, note that it updates every time you sync. That means that if your Charge 5 hasn't synced yet, your app will still show the battery percentage of the last sync.

I have followed all these suggestions. I have used my son-in-law's charger
that works with his Charge 5. I have left it on the charger for 16 days
straight and it does not work. I have cleaned the back and the charge
points. It will not charge. It has not charge since December 2023. I have
contacted support before and they sent the same email you did. This is mot
a new issue with fitbit. Just searching on the internet many people have
had this issue and most of them have never found a solution. This issue was
not anything I caused or created. This issue conveniently happened at the
same time an update happened. My charge 5 was not even a year old at the
time and the support center would or could not help me.
