My fitbit screen will not turn on after putting in water mode. It had happened before and I fixed it however I forgot how I had done it (after reviewing other questions I now remember that I had switched the watch face and it rebooted the display software but this time I could NOT figure it out). So because I could not figure it out I tried to disconnect it from the app (now I know that this made my issues worse and it was not the correct thing to do.) I cannot reconnect it because the screen does not turn back on. So I cant put the four digit code into my app to reconnect it. ( I have tried resetting it and the furthest I get is to the bluetooth connecting but I can not enter the 4 digit display because the screen is black 😞)

Your Charge 5 might still have Water Lock turned on. It takes very firm tapping on the display to disable the water lock.
The one time I turned on Water Lock, I was surprised to learn how hard I had to tap on the display to get Water lock to turn off. Thankfully, water lock finally turned off and my display reappeared.
